Something I need to work on, obviously. The realization that I had four quilts to finish before we leave/end of Fourth of July weekend really kicked me into gear. Luckily they're all easy and/or close to done.
Finished!
Design Wall: Really Random Quilt #2 - all but the top two corner blocks are done. I ran out of blue. But the calculations are done - including binding so I'm not making yet another trip - and I will be out to get more blue as soon as the Dude is awake.
Family T-Shirt Quilt #2 is well on its way, with most of the rows assembled. I have to cut three more shirts to fill a couple holes.
And my Rainbow Scrap Challenge is loving all this piecing! I finished all the yellows, as well as the previously unfinished orange, and a couple blues. I might run out of blues before the next color is announced!
I was wondering...when you make your tshirt quilts~do you interface them? and when they are sewn shirt-to-shirt....do you use a half inch (1/2) seam then press open? I've only made tshirts quilts with sashings and was wondering *how* to make one without sashings. thanks. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot to finish in one day. Quite an accomplishment tho, to get them all "done" !.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to get up the nerve to sew a T-shirt Quilt. My husband has many t-shirts from concerts covering the past 30 years or so, and I hate to take the chance I'll blow it and ruin them. I think I need to take a class!
I like the rainbow blocks! How fun, and easy - with lots of possibilities.
I was so relieved to finish the last of my "deadline" quilts this weekend. Good luck on getting all of yours done. I've decided that I really hate sewing to deadlines!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot of stuff to be sure to be done, especially with a holiday in the middle of your work time. But each one is so different and fun, you should have a great time working on them.
ReplyDeleteThe rainbow scrap challenge has me intrigued. Can not wait to see what it looks like when it is all done and dusted.
